We had a very good meering in July, discussing making hurricane plans for man's best friends.  We had four guests and everyone contributed to the discussion.

We have received a very generous donation from the friends and family of Marty Lee and from the Chamber from the contributions made at pet fest.  These funds will be used to follow thru with the plans made in the spring to pave the entrance area between gates and improve the watering system and put down concrete blo ks around the water bowls.

It was with regret that Gordon Gibson's resignation was accepted.  Gordon has been a driving force in our organization, from collecting signatures, representing us on city and chamber committees, making our sign board, cooking for the grant opening, clearing land, donating benches and teaching our dog obedience classes.  He will be traveling on business with his wife.

Chip Fosgate graciously agreed to serve as president for the rest of the year.  Chips and his wife, Wilma, have been members since our beginning and Chips has been on the board for two years.
